About me
My name is Marcia Dick (formerly Cleveland). I am married with two small children. I started this blog when Elianna was only one year old, and then sort of let it slide for a few years as my inspiration was dwindling and family life took over. Well now I am back and charged full of inspiration to take this blog to the next level. Our family lives in a city in British Columbia's Interior called Kamloops. I consider Kamloops to lag behind the rest of the world on the sustainability front. While there are several individuals, groups, and organizations that set examples for the community, at large, sustainable just hasn't quite hit the mainstream here in Kamloops.
As such, I feel a need to set examples of sustainable behaviour by firstly 'walking the talk' and then encouraging others to follow along. I do not have all the answers to this (obviously), but I feel that blogging about these ideas will hopefully start the discussion and resulting actions towards sustainable lifestyles and practices.
This is a self portrait of me and my girls taken in October 2013.

About Waste Naught BC
When I am not tending to my family's needs (when someone babysits or after the kids are in bed), I work as a consultant, blogger, and change maker to help people and organizations adopt more sustainable practices. I work with James Gordon (who is temporarily on leave to fulfill a year contract with TRU Department of Sustainability). James and I share a passion for environmental sustainability and offer high quality services in the broad realm of environmental education.
